My Pepsi Challenge
I'm going to have to pry myself away from one of my favorite vices ever, caffeine. Trying to quit consuming caffeine, for me, is equivalent to someone quitting drugs, alcohol, or smoking. It is crazy that Pepsi, or the lack of, makes me sick and have borderline migraine headaches. It does though! My husband laughs, but it is not funny. I tried to do this about two months ago. We were going home from my parents house, taking something to my aunt and uncle, and while in their driveway I jumped out of the car and started to dry heave. I was shaking all over, and my head was throbbing, literally. I drank a Pepsi, and about an hour later I was fine. That's ridiculous! So, realizing what it does to my body, I figured that it is not the healthiest beverage for me to drink. Imagine that... I actually quit drinking it one time for a period of two years. I drank nothing but water. I felt no different, but I slept better and could take naps. I love naps, so I have to quit. Also, I read somewhere that if you are trying to get pregnant it makes for unhealthy production of eggs. Since I already have that issue I don't need to compound the problem with another one. The last time I drank Pepsi was yesterday at about 3:00. Eighteen hours and counting. I will update my progress this afternoon. Wish me luck!
